The Edge and Town Square Present ‘SummerStarz 2010′, Music and Film Outdoor Summer Series

For the sixth consecutive year, Town Square is presenting free summer entertainment for children and families. Starting July 8th, Town Square, along with Williamsburg’s hottest condominium development, The Edge, and the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation will host SummerStarz, an outdoor film and music series at exciting East River State Park on the Brooklyn waterfront.
Each Thursday in July and August, SummerStarz invites everyone from Edge buyers to music aficionados and film buffs to enjoy a free live musical performance at 7 pm, followed by a family-friendly film screening at sunset. For those with younger children, residents are encouraged to arrive early for the Kids Hour at 6 pm, which offers an assortment of activities including arts & crafts, music and games.

Come join us for a very unique and awe-inspiring art display. Rodney McPherson will be displaying his work for the enitre month of March.
Rodney McPherson "Abstract Message"
Born in Orlando Florida 09/16/1964.
A part of the MUSIC and ART scene in the late 80's and 90's working in Night Clubs Like "THE EDGE", he watched Orlando's Art and Music scene flourish. In the 2000's he worked in the scenic art industry working on rides like Jaws at Universal Studios, and the Rainforest Cafe at Walt Disney World. In 2008 he began painting on scrap pieces of plywood, giving his paintings a rustic and organic feel. Hanging his first pieces at The Virgin Olive Market he quickly received positive feedback. In 2009, he became the resident Artist at a Downtown restaurant called FIFI's, located within the Sanctuary Condominiums. He began networking in the Downtown and Thornton Park area hanging at places like Dexter's Thornton Pk, Bacco Italian Restaurant in the UCF area. Also the Grand Bohemian Hotel&Art Gallery, collaborating with designer Jimmy Choo for the Art and Fashion Show at the Bosendorfer Lounge. Currently, he is showing at Hair Salon's like Twist located in Collage Park and Eclipse Salon. Coming up, Orlando Tastings Wine Bar located in Downtown Orlando.
